Gothic Justice

Royal Courts of Justice

Royal Courts of Justice

Ambling through the streets of London on Halloween, I came across the ominously lit, gothic facade of the Royal Courts of Justice. It was the perfect manifestation for All Hallow’s Eve, and the iron gates and weather worn stone echoed the sinister past of English torture. It seemed that I could almost hear the whispers and screams of those treasonous past, their judgment often dealt within those walls. After a few photographs, I continued to explore the ancient city, soaking in the rich physical history, and recalling the dark medieval roots.
